Making the messenger Apps Talk to One Another

What if one messaging app can send messages to another messaging app. That would be fun for the user. The messaging services still get to keep their users. Rather than installing and using multiple messaging apps one app will suffice. The one that you like and not what others are using and you get compelled to use because of others.  The road however may be a difficult one to take as the creator will have to integrate n number of messaging apps and get them to talk with one another. It will be one hell of an idea.I still feel it will be win-win for the user and the messenger apps. The user - because there is no need to install multiple apps. The App - they get to keep their customers The real winner however will be the one who creates the app...but then looking at the ease it creates for users don't think anyone will be complaining. The online messengers services had such apps for e.g. meebo through which you could access all messengers through one login id...time for mo...

On unemployment

How about an site on unemployment? On the same lines like my first salary (one of my earlier posts) why can't there be a website that lets people talk about unemployment. People will share their experiences about how they came to deal with a topic that is looked upon as a taboo and social stigma rather something which is a harsh reality of life or business need. Unemployment could be further categorized into those who have not been able to get any employment for whatsoever reason and those who have been employed / were entrepreneurs / businessmen before exigencies or circumstances pushed them into unemployment. Their viewpoints and experience sharing could help someone gain new perspectives and possibly avoid the same mistake and encourage others to take different route. I know this would be easier said than done. It would be big challenge to come out in the open talk about the challenges and distress caused due to unemployment but if something good is going to come out of it...

Eco Friendly Crackers and Fireworks

So much so for the pro and anti Diwali campaign. Both arguments are strong point of views. However much to my amusement in all the arguments and counter arguments, never did I once across someone proposing a solution or taking the trouble to find way out. If we can have eco-friendly food, manufacturing, automobiles, even Ganpati festival with eco friendly idols and a hell lot of other things then why not eco-friendly crackers & Fireworks - which keep the joy of Diwali intact and reduce the impact on environment. Though initially may prove cost intensive but given the scale at which it is celebrated it won't be difficult to break even. I believe there are few option that do exists they need to be promoted, given sops and taken to the masses. Hoping to see a environment friendly Diwali...may the festival lights keeping lighting our lives with joy. Few things in the offing: http://www.deccanherald.com/content/200003/firecrackers-go-green-diwali.html http://timesofin...

Call Reject Messages

How about an app that integrates call reject messages (I am busy; I am in a meeting; Will call you later) with Whatsapp, so instead of sending an SMS excusing for not attaining the call, one can do the same using Whatsapp.

My First Salary

Can people share their experience about the first salary. For many people the first salary is really special and a moment to cherish, a stepping stone to achieving their dreams. To spending the money on themselves, to treating friends, to offering it to their parents, to some investing it...varied people have varied ways of celebrating the moment special. Probably the website can help people connect with each other and share what they actually did with their first salary. They can also act as mentor / counsel to others about what they need to do to earn their rightful first salary. How to negotiate, how to deal with the anxiety of being the first timer and other such insights which can be really helpful. Worth a thought but however needs to be explored further to bring it into reality.

Social One or One Social

Digital world is blooming. Social networking site is the in thing. You have blogger, tumblr, wordpress, typepad for blogging. LinkedIn for business networking. Referral Key for sharing references and business leads. Twitter for micro blogging. Facebook for friends and relations. Instagram for sharing pictures. StumbleUpon to find new cool websites, images and photos across the web. Then there are aggregators like Feedly. Add Pintrest, Delicious, Reddit, Four Square....the list could simply goes on and on. And a hell lot of us want to be on almost all of them, track them and keep following them. But can't really keep up with it for we have to constantly log in and out from one app to another to another. Though OpenID solves the problem to some extent one still has to log in and log out. That's where the idea of Social One comes in. Social One would be an interface which accumulates all my social accounts on to a singly platform from where I can pick and choose what I n...

Just a Crazy Little Idea

Service providers usually add late fee charges in case of delay of payment. It's a common practice and almost a norm across all sectors from banks to telecom service providers. The late fee charges in a way reinforce that bills need to paid on time or be prepared to bear the charges. There's nothing wrong in doing this and makes perfect business sense, rarely I have seen any one incentivise payment of bills before due date. This incentives need not be monetary, rather they can be in kind offering trade off for increasing customer satisfaction and enhancing customer experience. Imagine getting those extra minutes of talk time from your telecom service provider or an blockbuster movie exclusively for you by your DTH provider. It may sound like a crazy idea but then if one gives it a serious thought the impact will definitely worth try.
